Montane Protium Jacket
Men's stretch sweatshirt (without hood) made from Thermo Grid material with brushed fibers and a grid structure on the inside. It is extremely comfortable, provides good insulation against body heat, and simultaneously wicks away moisture. The Montane Protium Jacket can be used throughout all seasons – either as an outer insulating layer in warmer weather, or as a mid layer in winter.

Protium Jacket
The Protium Jacket is the hoodless version of our very popular men's hoodie Protium Hoodie from the workshop of a British brand Montane. The Protium Hoodie and Protium Jacket have exactly the ideal material weight (thickness) for use throughout most of the year, making them incredibly versatile companions not only for the mountains but also for the city.
The jacket is made of pleasant Thermo Grid material, which features brushed fibers with a grid structure on the inside. We have become incredibly fond of this material construction and consider it almost as a necessity for every hoodie or sweatshirt for outdoor activities. The main reasons are: lower weight, comfort, good insulation properties, excellent moisture wicking, and breathability.
What further excites us about this hoodie is its thoughtful fit. It moves with you and doesn't restrict you at all. A higher percentage of elastane ensures that the jacket is pleasantly stretchy. The sweatshirt features two spacious side zip pockets, which are relatively long. You can access the pockets even with the hip belt of the backpack fastened or while wearing a climbing harness. The lower collar fits snugly around the neck, preventing wind from blowing in. The main zipper with a pull tab runs the entire length, and an internal protective flap is a given. On the outer side near the collar, there is a loop for easy hanging.
We also have a similar men's jacket without a hood, just a warmer version Protium XT Jacket for cooler to freezing conditions, made from a warmer material called Thermo Grid HL. A lighter version with a shorter zipper is also available – Protium Lite Pull-On.
