Pocket Trowel by Sea To Summit is a durable, lightweight, and compact toilet trowel with a handle that can be folded for easy transport in your backpack. The hollow handle can also store small essentials such as a lighter or other small necessities.
The trowel is made of reinforced Nylon 66, a material known for its mechanical strength, resistance to wear, and ability to withstand extremely low temperatures.
The weight of the trowel is 87 grams. When folded, it is 14 cm long, and when unfolded with the handle, it measures 24 cm.
Use of the scoop
Step 1: Choose a location
- at least 60 meters away from any water source,
- in sufficient privacy and away from the trail,
- with soft soil that will be easy to dig into,
- preferably in the sun (to speed up decomposition).
Step 2: Use the toilet trowel to dig a hole at least 15 cm deep.
Step 3: Do your business and thoroughly cover the hole and its contents.
