Ultralight tarptent for 2 people, set up on 2 trekking poles. Thanks to its asymmetrical shape, you've got plenty of headroom inside. The Sierra Designs High Route Tarp 2 has two doors and weighs 661 grams.
Who is it suitable for?

The tarp sets up in two hiking poles, which are placed diagonally. In this atypical design, we see a number of advantages – the tent isn't tall at just one point but almost along its entire length. With trekking poles, you end up with vertical walls that don’t risk collecting any rainwater. Included in the package are a rainfly, stakes (8 pcs) with a stuff sack, a stuff sack for the tent, and guy lines to secure the tent.
Unlike pyramid tents/tarps, there are no “dead spots” in the corners here that you practically can't use and that just limit you when choosing a sleeping spot. The High Route isn't unnecessarily wide; you can effectively use its entire interior space, and you don't need too much room to set it up.
The rainfly is made from 20D Nylon Ripstop. The good thing is you won’t have to deal with seam sealing here. All the seams are already taped. The setup is super simple – just stake out the corners, stick in your trekking poles, and additionally attach the mosquito net (not included). You’ll need at least 6 stakes and two trekking poles adjustable to at least 119 cm for the setup. You can stake out the tent in the wind using two guy lines above the doors.
