New for 2024. The Tensor Extreme Conditions inflatable sleeping pad is part of a new generation of the popular and best-selling Tensor series from the American brand NEMO Equipment. NEMO sleeping pads have been appearing alongside sleeping pads from Therm-a-Rest among the most commonly used and popular sleeping pads on long-distance trails. However, you will want to test this sleeping pad in a slightly different, much more extreme conditions!
NEMO Tensor Extreme Conditions offers thermal resistance (R = 8,5) for the most extreme winter conditions. And all this while maintaining an incredibly low weight (505 g in Regular size). This sleeping pad can be used year-round, including for freezing winter crossings. Moreover, it is available in several sizes, so both tall people and side sleepers can sleep comfortably on it. Thanks to its unique design, it is not only extremely comfortable but also produces significantly less noise during movement compared to other inflatable pads.
If you are looking for a year-round sleeping pad, but you won't be using it in extreme winter conditions, you can save a few dozen grams in your backpack with a sleeping pad NEMO Tensor All-season (R = 5,4). If you are looking for a three-season sleeping pad for long-distance hiking, NEMO Tensor Trail (R = 2,8) may be the right choice for you. The Tensor series sleeping pads are made from the same material, but they differ in the number of layers of internal thermal insulation.
Materials and construction
The upper part of the sleeping pad is made of lightweight, pleasant to the touch, yet durable 20D nylon. The bottom part is even better protected against punctures or tears thanks to the 40D nylon used. Both materials are 100% recycled and certified bluesign®. This means that the sleeping pad was produced in a way that is safe for the environment, workers, and its users.
The interior of the inflatable sleeping pad is equipped with the patented distinctly shaped Apex™ baffle construction, which creates stable body support, even weight distribution, and simultaneously offers the right amount of moldability and softness. Inside each baffle, there are four layers of ultralight Thermal Mirror™ aluminum foil insulation, which effectively reflects body heat and contributes to an overall thermal resistance value of R = 8,5.
Thanks to the material used and the well-thought-out internal structure, the creaky and rustling sound, which you may encounter with many other inflatable sleeping pads, is significantly reduced. This ensures not only a peaceful night's sleep for you but also for your companions at the campsite.

In addition to the sleeping pad, you will also receive a repair kit, a Velcro strap for securing the folded sleeping pad, a small storage bag (stuff sack), and a large Vortex pump sack for quick and easy inflation.
Using a pump sack not only significantly simplifies and speeds up inflating your sleeping pad, but it also saves your breath, which is especially useful when sleeping at higher altitudes. Additionally, when using a pump sack, you do not introduce excess moisture into the sleeping pad, which can lead to mold growth inside the pad over time.
For even easier inflation of the sleeping pad, you can purchase a pump Flextail TINY pump 2X or Flextail ZERO pump, with which you will have it absolutely effortless.
