A tidy backpack
Liteway Wash Bag is a zip-up organiser made of waterproof fabric. Its pockets and compartments keep all the small stuff in order: toothbrush, toothpaste, bidet, knife, lighter and headlamp.

For women who care about nature
Kula Cloth is an antimicrobial pee cloth for women in the outdoors. No tissues left behind a bush – just Leave No Trace.

Dry, warm feet
DexShell Running Lite Sock 2.0 are our favourite waterproof socks. They keep feet dry and add warmth – ideal for cold, wet weather.

Dry gear
Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Bag is a light waterproof bag for clothes and gear that keeps them safe from rain. Great in a pack on treks and day trips alike.

No more blowing up your mat
Flextail ZERO Pump 2 is one of the lightest sleeping mat pumps in the world. Its adapters fit practically every mat, and it inflates one in about a minute.

Socks with a lifetime guarantee
Darn Tough Light Hiker Micro Crew are our favourite merino socks. The thin knit helps prevent blisters and merino fights odour. We have a men's and a women's version.

A colourful organiser
Gramino AURA Pouch is an ultralight minimalist organiser made of water-resistant Tyvek. We carry our toiletries, first aid kit and other small things in it.

Our best-selling pot
TOAKS Titanium 750 ml is the most versatile size for long-distance treks, where you mostly boil water or cook morning porridge. Titanium is ultralight, durable and food-safe.

A light, well-made flask

Safe on ice
Snowline Chainsen Light are light microspikes with tough 1 cm spikes. No icy trail or steep slope will catch you out.

Power on the go
Nitecore NB10000 Power Bank GEN4 is a compact power bank with fast charging and USB-C ports. It charges a phone about twice and is one of the lightest in the world at 143 grams.

An ultralight stove
TOAKS Titanium Gas Canister Stove is a tiny but powerful gas stove. It folds up easily and fits inside a pot. It works with standard screw-on canisters.

Gear that makes winter and long treks more enjoyable and lasts more than one season in the pack:
- trekking poles that take some of the load off the legs and spare the knees. They also double as poles for a tarp or a single-wall tent.
- microspikes for sure footing on icy roads and snowy forest trails
- a water filter for refilling from streams and lakes on multi-day treks. A hollow-fibre filter removes bacteria and protozoa.

Bigger gifts
Chipping in with friends or colleagues for one bigger gift, or know exactly what they want? Hikers count every gram when it comes to sleeping bags, mats and backpacks, so discreetly ask about the model and size first. If you're not sure, give a gift card and let them choose.

A safe bet – the gift card
If you don't know what to choose or don't want to buy blind, the best option is to give an e-gift card.
You can upload your own photo, write a personal message and choose from several values. We'll email the gift card to you a few minutes after payment, in two formats:
- PDF for printing at home,
- JPG for printing at photo kiosks such as CEWE.
Why a gift card
- Custom design – your own photo, message and value.
- We'll email it to you a few minutes after payment.
- Use the balance gradually. Whatever isn't spent stays on the card for the next order – until it expires.
- Valid for 1 year from purchase. You'll find the exact date on the card.
Why give practical trekking gear
Anyone who hikes in the mountains or goes on long treks knows it: a lack of good merino socks, an uncomfortable night in the tent, cold feet in the sleeping bag, pebbles in the shoes or a backpack digging into the shoulders. Whether you enjoy a trek or just endure it often comes down to small things – and that's exactly what our gift ideas are about. Think waterproof socks, an inflatable pillow, tasty dehydrated meals, practical organisers or hygiene essentials for the road.
We know what really makes sense in a backpack and what's just extra weight. We believe you'll choose well with us – and the person you're buying for will take it on every trip to the mountains.
When do I need to order for the gift to arrive by Christmas?
Orders paid by 18 December 2026 ship within two working days. Carriers are overloaded before Christmas and delivery abroad takes longer, so don't leave your shopping to the last minute.
How does the gift card work?
With our e-gift card you choose the value and can add a message and your own photo. It arrives by email a few minutes after payment. The recipient can spend it on anything in our store by entering it in the cart.
Can I exchange a gift if the size is wrong?
Of course. You can exchange an unwanted gift until 31 January 2027. Find out more here: Returns
Which sock size should I choose?
Go by the recipient's shoe size. You'll find the size chart on the product page. And if the size isn't right, you can exchange the socks until 31 January 2027.
Do you gift-wrap or send a receipt without prices?
Unfortunately, we don't offer Christmas gift wrapping or receipts without prices.
What to give a hiker who has everything?
Go for consumables that always come in handy on the trail. We'd never say no to dehydrated meals or travel coffee. And if you're unsure, give a gift card or message us – we're happy to help.
What gift for a beginner hiker?
Start with the basics that come in handy on every trip: good merino socks that don't smell even after a few days, and waterproof dry bags that keep things in the backpack safe from rain.
A gift for a hiker under €15?
Even a few euros will buy a practical gift: travel coffee, energy bars, freeze-dried cheese snacks, a Gramino Sit Pad, a long-handled spoon or repair tape for a tent or jacket. Find more ideas among our gifts under €25.
No time left to shop – what can I do?
Buy an e-gift card. It arrives by email a few minutes after payment, so it'll save you even at the last minute. Print it at home or at a photo kiosk.
